Osaulenko Andrii Oleksandrovych
Based on the analysis of both doctrinal and regulatory provisions, the article determines the place and role of the National Bank among the constituent elements of the state mechanism in Ukraine and outlines the functions of the state within which the relevant powers are exercised. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the National Bank of Ukraine, among the structural elements of the state mechanism, belongs to the administrative apparatus as a constituent of the state apparatus. The article concludes that the National Bank of Ukraine can be attributed to the control and supervisory authorities because it carries out banking supervision over the activities of banks and other entities in order to ensure the stability of the banking system and protect the interests of depositors and creditors of the bank, as well as supervisory measures provided for by law. The Council of the National Bank of Ukraine exercises control over the implementation of monetary policy and supervision over the internal control system of the National Bank, which is determined by statutory tasks and correlates with the relevant powers.
