У статті здійснено комплексне історико-правове дослідження становлення та розвитку
кримінальної відповідальності за жорстоке поводження з тваринами. Обґрунтовано актуальність дослідження з огляду на посилення гуманізації кримінального законодавства, розвиток міжнародних стандартів захисту тварин і необхідність удосконалення національних механізмів кримінально-правової охорони відповідних суспільних відносин. This article presents a comprehensive historical and legal study of the emergence and development of criminal liability for cruelty to animals. The relevance of the study is justified in light of the increasing humanization of criminal legislation, the development of international standards for animal protection, and the need to improve national mechanisms for the criminal-law protection of relevant social relations.
