Abstract
У статті розглянуто питання розміщення ядерної зброї в Україні у радянський період і за часів незалежності, її участь у забезпеченні й підвищенні ядерного потенціалу СРСР. Наголошено на особливостях економічного розвитку УРСР й її долі в ВВП Радянського Союзу. Проаналізовано положення Будапештського меморандуму, проєктів законів, та інших нормативно-правових актів, а також погляди деяких політиків і науковців. The article examines the issue of the placement of nuclear weapons in Ukraine during the Soviet period and at the time of independence, its participation in ensuring and increasing the nuclear potential of the USSR. The peculiarities of the economic development of the Ukrainian SSR and its share in the GDP of the Soviet Union are emphasized. The provisions of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (so-called the Budapest Memorandum of 1994), draft laws, and other legal acts, as well as the views of some politicians and scientists, were analysed.
