    У статті проаналізовано життєві події та наукову і практичну діяльність Ігоря Івановича Лукашука (1926–2007) в період його перебування на посаді завідувача кафедри міжнародного права Київського державного університету імені Т. Шевченка. Як один із провідних українців – юристів-міжнародників ХХІ століття – він залишив визначний слід в глобальній історії міжнародного права, а т. зв. київський період його біографії справив чи не найбільш визначальний вплив на його ідентичність як дослідника, практика і педагога. The article analyzes the life and scientific and practical activities of Igor Ivanovich Lukashuk (1926–2007) during his tenure as head of the Department of International Law at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University. As one of the leading Ukrainians – international lawyers of the XXI century, he left a significant mark in the global history of international law, and the so-called. The “Kyiv period” of his biography had perhaps the most decisive influence on his identity as a researcher, practitioner, and teacher.
