Простежено основні напрями наукового освоєння досліджуваної теми та їх змістове наповнення. Based on the scientific works of modern Ukrainian scientists, the article highlights the state of scientific research of the judicial and law enforcement bodies of Zaporozhian Sich and the Ukrainian Hetman State. It is proven that it needs further scientific understanding, as the process of knowledge accumulation relating to the essence and nature of judicial and law enforcement bodies of the given period continues.
