In the 21st century, the tasks of the state, the directions of its influence on societal relations, and its primary and ancillary functions are undergoing transformation, necessitating urgent theoretical comprehension of the inherent functions of the state. Передумовою та чинником ефективного функціонування будь-якої сучасної держави, виконання покладених на неї завдань є запровадження відповідних організаційно-правових механізмів її діяльності. У ХХІ ст. відбувається трансформація завдань держави, напрямів впливу на суспільні відносини, основних і додаткових функцій, що потребує нагального теоретичного осмислення іманентних функцій держави.
