    Матеріальна відповідальності засуджених до позбавлення волі під час відбування ними покарання має специфічні підстави й ознаки. Важливу роль у ресоціалізації і виправленні засуджених відіграє забезпечення відшкодування матеріальних збитків засудженими до позбавлення волі. Простежується порушення основних принципів та мети кримінального покарання в нерівнозначності застосування покарання, незабезпечення персоналом установ виконання покарань правових наслідків для засуджених правопорушників, які пошкодили чи знищили державне майно або не відмовились відшкодовували витрати на їх утримання в установах виконання покарань та слідчих ізоляторах. The material responsibility of convicts sentenced to imprisonment while serving their sentences has specific grounds and features. An important role in convicts’ resocialization and correction is played by providing compensation for financial damages to convicts sentenced to imprisonment. There is a violation of the fairness of the basic principles of the criminal punishment purpose in the non-equivalence of punishment, and non-providing legal consequences for the convicts who damaged or destroyed state property or did not reimburse the costs of their maintenance by the penitentiary staff.
