    Identifying trends in the gender and age characteristics of criminal offenders is necessary for developing effective state policy in the field of crime prevention and reintegration of offenders in the post-war period. The aim of the study was to examine the dynamics and structure of crime by gender and age, and to determine the impact of socio-economic, political and psychological factors on the behaviour of offenders. Виявлення тенденцій у гендерно-вікових характеристиках злочинців є необхідним для розроблення ефективної державної політики у сфері запобігання злочинності та реінтеграції правопорушників у післявоєнний період. Метою дослідження було вивчення динаміки та структури злочинності за статевою та віковою ознаками, визначення впливу соціально-економічних, політичних і психологічних факторів на поведінку правопорушників.

    У статті розглядається розвиток підходів до феномена громадської безпеки, аналізуоться його соціальні та правові аспекти. Запропоновано визначення громадської безпеки у широкому сенсі, яке останніми роками використовується у кримінології, соціології та політології. Особливу увагу приділено питанню визиачення структури діяльності щодо забезпечення громадської безпеки, проаналізовано наукові джерела з безпекової проблематики. Розглянуто структуру громадської безпеки в сучасному суспільстві. The article analyses the genesis of scientific approaches regarding public security during the recent decades. It indicates that the allocation of a special group of crimes in criminal law, whose generic object of infringement was public safety, stemmed directly from such global socio-economic processes as urbanisation and technicalisation of society. It has been noted that certain essential features of such crimes - the threat of causing or causing harm to an indefinite range of persons and an indefinite range of legally protected interests and the use of a source of increased danger or types of dangerous activity in doing so - have laid the foundation for a broader understanding of public safety as a social phenomenon in subsequent years.

    У статті розглянуто вплив змін у кримінальному законодавстві на динаміку кримінальних правопорушень у країні, характер такого впливу залежно від змісту законодавчих новел. Робота базується на результатах аналізу змін, внесених до Кримінального кодексу України у 2022–2023 роках. Запропоновано методичну схему дослідження законодавчих новел та оцінки їх впливу на кримінальну ситуацію. Обгрунтовано необхідність постійного здійснення такої роботи. The article analyzes amendments to the criminal legislation of Ukraine as a factor of influence on the criminal situation in the country. This paper is based on the results of the analysis of 17 laws of Ukraine amending the Criminal Code of Ukraine in 2022-2023. The research was conducted through a systematic and comprehensive examination of comparative tables of articles from the Code in previous and updated versions.

    Стаття присвячена аналізу даних щодо засуджених осіб в Україні за вчинення кримінальних правопорушень за період 2013–2022 рр., за основними соціальнодемографічними та кримінально-правовими ознаками, які в сукупності становлять їх кримінологічну характеристику. У роботі проаналізовано структурний розподіл засуджених за зазначеними ознаками, основні тенденції його змін протягом вказаного періоду. Визначено зв’язок між окремими ознаками кримінологічної характеристики засуджених та рівнем їх кримінальної активності. The authors analyzed the distribution of individuals convicted of criminal offenses in Ukraine from 2013 to 2022 based on their socio-demographic and criminal-legal characteristics. They used this information to determine the criminological characteristics of the convicts. The article’s provisions and conclusions are based on an analysis of data from state statistical reports on convict composition (form No. 7) during the specified period. The list of features used to form criminological characteristics of convicts is limited to information contained in the specified statistical report form.
