The article examines the problems of the organizational and legal foundations of the protection of intangible cultural heritage in the countries of the European Union. The approaches developed in the EU provide for the exchange of knowledge, the creation of a regulatory framework and the implementation of practical measures for the preservation of intangible heritage, which is of great importance for the preservation of cultural diversity.
