    Натепер необхідно посилити правовий захист життя та здоров’я жінок (насамперед репродуктивного характеру) з метою покращення демографічної ситуації в Україні. Одним із напрямів такого посилення має стати підвищення ефективності кримінально-правових заходів щодо забезпечення захисту суспільних та особистих інтересів від злочинних посягань, пов’язаних із незаконним перериванням вагітності. Особливу роль у цьому напрямі відіграє позитивний зарубіжний досвід протидії таким кримінальним явищам, який слід активно використовувати під час розроблення змін до українського кримінального законодавства. At present, it is necessary to strengthen the legal protection of life and health of women (primarily of a reproductive nature) in order to improve the demographic situation in Ukraine. One of the directions of such strengthening should be to increase the effectiveness of criminal law measures to ensure the protection of the relevant benefits from criminal encroachments related to illegal abortion. A special role in this direction is played by the positive foreign experience of counteracting such criminal phenomena, which should be actively used in the development of changes to the Ukrainian criminal legislation.
