    Актуальність дослідження питання забезпечення особистої безпеки поліцейського в контексті порушення нормативно-правових приписів зумовлена суттєвим збільшенням кількості випадків загибелі та поранень працівників Національної поліції України під час виконання ними поліцейських функцій. Окреслена вище негативна тенденція обумовлює необхідність висвітлення реальної ситуації, що склалася в цій сфері, а також детального аналізу факторів, що призводять до виникнення екстремальних ситуацій. The relevance of the study of the issue of ensuring the personal safety of a police officer, in the context of violation of regulatory and legal requirements, is due to a significant increase in the number of deaths and injuries of the National Police of Ukraine in the course of performing their police functions. This negative trend outlined above necessitates coverage of the general state of affairs in this area, while at the same time requiring a detailed description of the factors contributing to the emergence of extreme situations.

    В умовах сьогодення правоохоронна система України, попри складну геополітичну ситуацію, є одним із головних інститутів забезпечення охорони прав і свобод людини, протидії злочинності, підтримання публічної безпеки та порядку. Правоохоронні органи як частина сектору безпеки й оборони ефективно реагують на нові виклики, пов’язані зі зміною політичних, соціальних та економічних умов життя і діяльності населення, забезпечуючи повноцінне функціонування держави. Проте належне виконання поліцейських функцій, відповідно до міжнародних стандартів, тісно переплітається з новими випадками поранень, різного роду травмувань, а також загибелі особового складу правоохоронного органу. In today's conditions, despite the complex geopolitical situation, Ukraine's law enforcement system is one of the main institutions ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, combating crime, and maintaining public safety and order. As part of the security and defence sector, law enforcement agencies respond effectively to new challenges associated with changes in the political, social and economic conditions of life and activity of the population, ensuring the full functioning of the state. However, the proper performance of police functions, in accordance with international standards, is closely intertwined with new cases of injuries, various types of trauma, and the death of law enforcement personnel. The armament and aggressiveness of criminal elements, the illegal distribution of unregistered firearms and explosive devices, the psychological overload of the civilian population, active counteraction to sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the aggressor country, and the performance of police functions in de-occupied and adjacent territories significantly affect the personal safety of employees of the National Police of Ukraine.
