    У статті досліджується потенціал геоінформаційних технологій, наводяться приклади використання геоінформаційних систем для підвищення рівня громадської безпеки та протидії злочинності у різних країнах світу. Впровадження поліцейських геоінформаційних систем у межах концепції «Розумне місто» призведе до скорочення часу реагування на виклики, покращення координації реагування на надзвичайні ситуації, оптимізації планування розподілу ресурсів, зосередження зусиль на місцевості з високим рівнем правопорушень та розслідування правопорушень. The article highlights the importance of integrated and innovative management of large cities as hubs of economic, political, and cultural activity. It observes that the implementation of the smart city concept can contribute to creating a comfortable living and working environment, enhancing the quality of urban services, optimizing infrastructure and resource allocation, and bolstering public safety. In this context, geographic information technologies, particularly geographic information systems, play an important role by providing comprehensive and accurate information about the spatial context for the implementation of the «smart city» concept.
