Наголошується, що сучасні російські історики відійшли від наукових принципів при вивченні цієї проблеми, перейшовши, в умовах широкомасштабної російської агресії проти України, на пропагандистські штампи неоімперської ідеології. Документи свідчать, що в роки голоду повною мірою були продемонстровані такі негативні риси радянського державного апарату, в тому числі і МВС–МДБ, як безініціативність, неповороткість, бездушність, неприхований цинізм стосовно маси населення, невміння прогнозувати розвиток ситуації і спрацьовувати «на випередження». This article reveals the main aspects of the actuality regarding the topic of famine in Ukraine in 1946-1947, considering the global food problems in the world, as well as one of the most tragic pages in the history of Ukraine. When searching for solutions to one of the most pressing issues of human society, namely preventing and overcoming famine, scientists should examine the past to identify and apply positive experiences in modern circumstances while also considering negative experiences and lessons learned from history. For our nation and domestic science, these questions are of special importance. Only in the first half of the twentieth century, Ukraine experienced three mass artificial holodomors, which had catastrophic consequences for agriculture, demographic development and mental health of Ukrainians.
